Tools we built for our own family,
free for yours.
Everything here is made by the Genesis Desktop team in Alberta, digitally signed, and free to download and use. No accounts, no ads, no tracking.
No app store. Your phone opens your own Eden.
Install Eden on a computer
Use the Windows or Mac download above. That computer holds your library and does the filtering; leave it on while you watch.
Turn on other screens
In Eden: Settings → Server & devices → Set up other screens. Choose around the house or anywhere, set a server password, and Eden shows an address and a QR code.
Add it to your home screen
Open that address on the phone and sign in once. iPhone and iPad: Share → Add to Home Screen. Android: the ⋮ menu → Install app. It opens full screen like any app, and can keep podcasts offline.
Two notices you may see, and why.
SmartScreen shows this for any installer it hasn't seen many times yet, however well signed. Choose More info → Run anyway. Check the publisher line first: it reads 2545288 Alberta Ltd, the company behind Genesis Desktop, which proves the file is ours and unaltered.
Open the .dmg and drag the app to Applications. On the first launch macOS blocks apps that aren't yet notarized with Apple: open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway. Once. Apple Silicon Macs (M1 and newer) take the Apple Silicon file; older Macs take Intel.
Windows installers carry our publisher certificate. Windows can check who made them.
Video, audio and speech processing happen locally. Nothing is uploaded to us.
No licence keys, no trials, no accounts. Share the link with anyone.
